It rained half an inch yesterday. We look at other fields to see how their crop is growing and then look at our shaggy fields with last year's stubble taller than the baby wheat. It will take a while longer to see if the new style of planting and harvesting is a good one. Did Thomas Edison doubt? He certainly kept trying.
Baseball has started. It is fun to sit on the bleachers and look out over the lake, and watch the boys play ball. It should be a good year. They have good athletes from Mott and Lemmon and Hettinger, all playing on the same team instead of playing against each other. Neat.
Time to get ready for church. Rachel's quilt is in progress. Hooray! Marmee
