No, I haven't been sleeping. It just takes a while to get back into the routine. Clinic hasn't been too busy, allowing more time at the quilt shop. The latest project is a quilt made in part from plaid shirts as a memory quilt for a young widow. Her husband died unexpectedly of Hanta virus last year, leaving her with three very young children. She had quilts made for each of the kids. Now it is her turn. I spent most of last weekend on it and sewed at the quilt shop in between patients all week. I have two more rows to finish and then it gets borders. I will try to take a picture before it goes to the quilter.
This weekend was Quilt Market in Minneapolis. I didn't go because of all the time off I took before. They will bring back all sorts of samples and brochures and new ideas. There are some things we picked last year that never did fly. You never know.
I have been unpacking boxes bit by bit. I found someone to give advice on some of the odd things Mom had. Its like a puzzle to solve. I've enjoyed looking through the jewelry, and polishing old pieces to make them shine again. I haven't tackled the pictures yet. That seems like the biggest project of all. I will get to it, I promise.
