Blizzard Day

I would post a picture, but it would be mostly white on white. There is something magical about being cozy and warm inside when it is cold and blowing outside. We went to Fargo this weekend but came home a day early to beat the storm. We ate awesome Thai coconut chicken soup. For breakfast we had my favorite sweet potato pancakes at the Cajon cafe. Lance bought me an early birthday present, a NookColor. I am still learning all it can do, but I love having a book that can be any book I want. Wow! It also has internet, crosswords and sudoku. I am looking forward to the day I read Rachel's novels, snuggled under the covers on another snowy weekend.

My other project is a lap quilt I am making for a Sequence player for his granddaughter. He and his wife picked out the fabric and I get to sew it. I'm putting the rows together, then all it will need is the borders. It is pretty and going together quickly. I'm hoping we don't get plowed out until tomorrow afternoon so I can get it finished.

I am shopping for a new car...thinking about a Ford Fusion hybrid. It has good gas mileage and can be purchased in town. We'll see. I hope it has good traction on snowy roads. Hard to do a test drive, but it is on sale for Presidents Day. Hmmmm.
