The Next Generation

This has been a fun month with daughter #2 here for an Internal Medicine rotation with the group. She is tall and poised, and all of us are enjoying having her around. This is her last rotation before graduation and the move to Salt Lake City for residency. It is an opportunity to do procedures (injecting knees, elbows, doing spinal taps and epidurals) and fine tune her admission H&Ps. I smile as she strides in her white coat down the same hall where she used to rollerskate as a little girl while we did rounds upstairs. It is a privilege to pass the baton to the next generation, and watch as they continue the race. Life is good!
