We saw several churches on the trip. The architecture amazed me. How did they do it? How many workers? How big were the congregations? Do they still have active members and pot luck suppers in the basement? In Dresden we saw the church that was the site of Martin Luther's protest and the beginning of the Reformation. I feel sorry for churches today that are hollow shells, missing the faith that was their heritage.
