The Easter Fairy is here to wish you Happy Easter. We celebrated a day early, since Lindsey has to leave on Sunday to make it back for college on Monday. We had ham, scalloped potatoes, fruit salad, veggies and angel food cake with home grown strawberries.(Last year's crop, cut up and frozen). Wish you all were here. We did not do colored eggs this year. I might still do them tomorrow. I did make time to run into the quilt shop with Rhonda.I find myself missing the beauty when I have days I can't go. This week I did more cleaning than usual, and was gone to Bismarck on Monday for my test. I won't hear the results for a couple of months, so I can sew without guilt until I find out if I passed, or if I have to sturdy before the next one. There really are no consequences for not passing, but I want to anyway.
This is the first week we have green, growing things to look at. It will be time soon to clear the dead foliage out of the garden. The farmer spent a day pruning the grape vines. He still has more to do, and the snow bank has to melt away from the rest before he can reach them. The strawberries are putting out new leaves. It will be a few weeks before the fields dry out enough to start spraying weeds prior to planting. I love the seasons in the country.
